IASL 2022 Opening KeynoteDr. Tutaleni I. Asino, is an experienced researcher, educator, and designer with a passion for finding innovative ways to use technology for learning, teaching and organizational performances. An Associate Professor of Educational Technology and Director of the Emerging Technology and Creativity Research Lab at the Oklahoma State University, he conducts research across the globe on comparative and international education, mobile learning and design for mobile devices, indigenous knowledge, diffusion of innovations, and open education. He holds a dual Ph.D. in Learning, Design & Technology and in Comparative International Education from Penn State University, a B.A. in Political Science and Media Studies; a M.Sc. in Multimedia Technologies, and M.A in Corporate Communication from Duquesne University; and a M.Sc. in Instructional Systems from Cabrini College.

Dr. Jean E. Lowrie Global KeynoteDr. Mega Subramaniam is a Professor and the Associate Dean for Faculty at the College of Information Studies (iSchool), University of Maryland. She also serves as the Co-Director of the Youth Experience (YX) Lab at the iSchool. Her work brings research and practice together to enhance the skills of in-service and pre-service librarians. She has successfully led the design of multiple professional development resources and training for in-service and pre-service librarians including ConnectedLib, Safe Data Safe Families, HackHealth, Youth Experience, and IMPACT. Her research has resulted in several national recognitions, most recently including the Library Journal's 2019 Movers and Shakers award, YALSA’s 2020 Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Fulbright Specialist Award. She received her Ph.D. in Information Studies from Florida State University and her Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Augusta Baker Chair KeynoteDr. Nicole A. Cooke is the Augusta Baker Endowed Chair and an Associate Professor at the School of Information Science, at the University of South Carolina. She holds both a PhD and an MLS in Communication, Information, and Library Studies from Rutgers University, and a M.Ed. in Adult Education from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Cooke’s research and teaching interests include human information behavior, fake news consumption and resistance, critical cultural information studies, and diversity and social justice in librarianship. She was named a Mover & Shaker by Library Journal in 2007, was awarded the 2016 ALA Equality Award, and was presented with the 2017 ALA Achievement in Library Diversity Research Award, presented by the Office for Diversity and Literacy Outreach Services. Dr. Cooke has published numerous articles and book chapters. Her latest books are “Information Services to Diverse Populations” (Libraries Unlimited, 2016) and “Fake News and Alternative Facts: Information Literacy in a Post-truth Era" (ALA Editions. 2018).

IASL 2022 Closing KeynoteKristin Fontichiaro is a clinical professor at the University of Michigan School of Information. An award-winning educator, she has taught students across K-12 and at the graduate level. A former elementary school librarian, her previous grant-funded work includes work on community-responsive makerspaces and the integration of data literacy skills and strategies into libraries' information literacy work. Beyond school libraries, she coordinates the world's largest certificate program in public library management on the Edx.org platform, coordinates multiple public library leadership initiatives, and has worked with academic librarians and data scientists on developing data communication skills and tools. Additionally, she is a prolific and multiple award-winning author for children and librarians. Her most recent books include Creating Data Literate Students; Data Literacy in the Real World: Conversations and Case Studies; and Making in School and Public Libraries.
